iOS 15: New APIs should make the app store refund process easier
Until now, the refund system on iOS requires a certain effort of the user, browsing through various menus and options to ask for their money back for an unauthorized purchase or the return of the amount if an app does not work as expected.

Although we have known iOS 15’s many newbies in WWDC21, unfortunately not all the features to come were mentioned during the event and everything indicates that one of them, which is related to the refund system, has everything to considerably improve the experience of use.
Currently the refund system on iOS requires a certain effort of the user, browsing through various menus and options to ask for their money back for an unauthorized purchase or the return of the amount if an app does not work as expected.
However, a special session aimed at developers is being prepared to instruct them on possible APIs that would make the procedure of returning sales or canceling automatic subscriptions much more intuitive.
Above you can observe a menu with the options for the refund request listing, for example, “I did not intend to buy this”, “A child/minor made the purchase without permission, “My purchase does not work as expected”, “Purchase not received” and “Others”.
A complaint made by numerous developers is related to the lack of possibility to deal directly with refund requests, so the novelty may indicate that Apple is working on bringing the user-developer experience even closer together. Hopefully, the move should make life easier for users but also app developers for apple platforms.
