The Contacts are gone – how to avoid loosing contacts on Android

It is of great trouble to only find out all your contacts are gone. Wheeeeeeee!, just like that. Its gone.

1. Account Sync

This method requires that you are signed into an account that support contact synchronization (ie. Gmail, Outlook etc.). Goto settings –> Account and Sync –> click sync and bingo. All the contact are back.

2. Backup to SD

Goto contacts –> Menu –> More –> Import/Export –> Select Export –> Select Phone or Sim or as Applicable –> Select SD Card –> Next. All Done.

A VCF file is exported to your SD Card. The next time you need it just import it. Follow the video tutorial below to backup to your sdcard.

 3. Traditional Address book

Get a diary or nice book and write all your contacts onto the book. As traditional as it is would require more time than with your mobile phone.

Huuuuh, a sigh of relief for you. No more worries on loosing your contact.
