How to Disable All of the Windows 10 Unwanted Notifications

THe final major April 2018 update for Windows 10 has been released by Microsoft. Users can now download Windows 10 version 1803 to their computer and update previous versions themselves.

But after installing the update, you will find out that Microsoft has added many new settings on top of the existing ones in order to promote their content or products.

These “notifications” or advertisements (as users prefer to call them) can be displayed on your lock-screen, inside the File Explorer window and some other places.

Here are a few ways to disable them:

Disable on the Lockscreen

  • Press Win+I to open settings.
  • Select Personalization and then Lockscreen.
  • Select Picture as your Lockscreen background.

Disable in the File Explorer

  • Open any folder on your computer.
  • Press Alt+F and then select Options.

Disable in the Taskbar

  • Press Win+I to open settings.
  • Select System and then Notifications & actions.

  • After apply any of these settings, you might have to restart your Windows PC so that all the changes take effect.
