Lamentations of how 1M YouTube channel Wode Maya became Micro Strategy

All the video content of the original owner went offline with access indicator of private. Subscriber to channel begun leaving the channel whereas others with verified tracks begun request for restoration from YouTube.

It was a sad day for the global YouTuber community when one of the most watched channels on African content Wode Maya had an unauthorised access onto the channel. Shortly after the access the channel name became Micro Strategy and a record streaming capability of up-to four (4) concurrent streaming begun on the YouTube platform and the possessed channel.

YouTube and indeed Google as a whole has a huge gap when it comes to reaching out in times of trouble something they should work on. It is worth noting that an improvement was reported in the case of the situation of the Wode Maya channel.

The channel owner reported a 48 hour time-lapse of restoration whereas in past victims have reported weeks as the restoration time-lapse. Below was a remark video from the Channel owner after restoration.

It is till date unclear if there is a relation to Micro Strategy on the channel takeover or itself is a beneficiary victim.
