DJI Ronin 4D Flex enables more flexibility and stabilization in filming

Ronin 4D Flex is compatible with the Ronin 4D ecosystem, so you can use it next to the handles and dedicated monitor of the original set. It is also possible to shoot with the kit, as it supports a wide variety of telephoto, cinematographic and anamorphic lenses, including dji's new DL PZ 17-28mm T3.0.

DJI announced on 7th of March the release of Ronin 4D Flex, its new solution for professional filming that allows to make the recording of clips even more dynamic. It is a system that allows you to separate the Zenmuse X9 camera from the Ronin 4D and connect it via cable to significantly reduce its handling weight.

The Ronin 4D Flex features a relatively thin two-meter coaxial cable to connect to the Zenmuse X9, allowing lossless image transmissions to the camera’s “brain” up to 8K, plus real-time monitoring and control: all without the need to charge the multiple Ronin 4D accessories.

The set also includes extension rods and suction cups to help users explore different recording angles. According to DJI, the Ronin 4D Flex can be used in any scenario, and is especially useful for long clips and shooting in areas difficult to handle the robust camera, such as vehicle interiors and narrow corridors.

The Chinese manufacturer highlights the convenience of switching between the original Ronin 4D configuration and Ronin 4D Flex accessories. There is no need for special tools — the whole set is designed so that it can be adjusted with your own hands — just connect the recording unit to the gimbal via the cable and start recording.
