The lineup consists of three models: the Nubia Neo 5 GT (the flagship), the standard Nubia Neo 5, and the Nubia Neo 5 Max, which features a 7.5-inch large display.

Nubia unveiled the Neo 5 series at MWC Barcelona 2026 on March 3–4, 2026. Here’s a full breakdown
The Series
The lineup consists of three models: the Nubia Neo 5 GT (the flagship), the standard Nubia Neo 5, and the Nubia Neo 5 Max, which features a 7.5-inch large display.
Standout Feature — Built-in Cooling Fan
The Nubia Neo 5 GT is the first and only device in its class to feature a real active cooling fan inside, combined with a massive 29,508mm² cooling area, using a Through-Flow Duct Design that guides fresh airflow directly over the CPU and battery. The most significant upgrade is the integrated physical cooling fan — not vapor chamber cooling, not graphite sheets, but an actual spinning fan. This technology was previously exclusive to Nubia’s high-end Red Magic gaming phones, and now it’s been brought down to the more accessible Neo series for the first time.
Performance
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor and features a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery with up to 80W fast charging and bypass charging support for gaming without charging the battery directly. ZTE moved on from the Unisoc T9100 used in the Neo 3 GT to the MediaTek Dimensity 7400, a change that alone should yield around a 20% performance improvement, complemented by up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Display & Gaming Controls
The 6.8-inch 1.5K AMOLED display offers a 144Hz refresh rate, 4,500 nits peak brightness, and a 3,049Hz instant touch sampling rate with sub-5.5ms latency. It also features 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 for four-finger gaming control. The Neo 5 GT features 550Hz Neo Triggers 5.0 with industry-leading sub-5.5ms latency and a 3,049Hz instant touch sampling rate. A new Magic Touch 3.0 Algorithm also keeps the screen responsive even when fingers are sweaty, wet, or greasy.
AI Features
The series includes the exclusive AI Copilot Demi 2.0 and an esports-level AI Game Space, designed to optimize gaming performance. The series introduces the exclusive AI Copilot Demi 2.0, which acts as both a coach and companion — offering real-time game status updates via Gaming Coach, instant gameplay answers via Gaming Chatbot, and an Auto-Chat feature that reads and replies to messages automatically during play.
Camera
The Neo 5 GT comes with a 50MP triple rear camera setup and a 16MP front-facing camera. The Neo 5 GT features a 50MP rear camera and an 16MP front camera, enhanced by Nubia’s NEOVISION imaging system. It also shoots video at up to 4K resolution at 30fps. Some early commenters on GSMArena raised concerns, with one noting the camera appears “terrible” relative to the price, especially when compared to rivals like the Infinix GT 30 at half the cost.

Battery & Charging
The Neo 5 GT packs a 6,210mAh dual-cell battery with up to 80W fast charging, plus a Bypass Charging mode that draws power directly from the charger during gameplay, reducing heat and minimizing battery wear.
Pricing & Availability
The Neo 5 GT starts at €399 (~$464) and the standard Neo 5 at €299 (~$347). The series will debut in Southeast Asia first in March, followed by a broader global rollout.

It’s a very compelling gaming phone, especially for its price range.
