What is Zeepay and how to SignUp

Zeepay is a financial technology connecting digital assets such as mobile money wallets, cards, ATMs, Bank Accounts and Digital tokens to International Money Transfer Operators, Payments, Subscriptions, International Airtime and Refugee payments and operating in over 15 countries including Ghana, United Kingdom, South Africa and United States. Zeepay does not require porting to onboard like other telco based mobile money, all are welcomed to click and send.

Zeepay allows Users to move money to all wallets or networks and banks. Zeepay is regulated by FCA – #592538 (Money Transfer Operator) and BOG – PSD/ZGL/20/03 (Electronic Money Issuer).

Zeepay customers can send and receive money across over 350,000 agent network available and also perform other related services out of Zeepay’s full bouquet such as – receive or redeem remittances, micro insurance, auto insurance, mortgage remit, airtime top-up, bill payment and pension collections all in partnership with third parties – such as insurance companies, banks, and pension trustees amongst others. Zeepay allows you to register on any network you use whiles offering safety, convenience and significant cost savings.

Mobile Money

Zeepay offer mobile financial service products to a large pool of over 2 million users across Ghana. The wallet allows users to operate the full bouquet of mobile money services such as Cash In, Cash Out, Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Transfers and Payments and Digital Termination of Remittances (DTR).

International Airtime

Zeepay makes it possible for both Retail and Wholesale clients to purchase or re-sell International Airtime for over 100 networks globally at affordable prices. For instance, Nigerian subscribers living in Ghana can purchase Airtime directly from Nigeria for their family and friends back home directly from their Zeepay Mobile Money Wallet. ATM Termination

The service makes it possible for Zeepay Mobile Money subscribers to receive or withdraw funds using Bank ATMs of selected partners nationwide.

Remittance Termination To Mobile

Subscribers can receive remittances from abroad directly into their Zeepay Mobile Money Wallets and withdraw at over 1million Agent network across Africa – such as Ghana, Uganda, Mozambique, Rwanda, Cameroon, Ivory Coast amongst others. In Ghana, Zeepay Mobile Money subscribers can withdraw funds from over 350,000 Agent networks including Banks and Shell Stations nationwide. The service is also available to Money Transfer Operators globally and available 24hours through apps or directly through the Agent Network. Currently the service is used by over 40 Money Transfer Operators across Europe, North America and Africa.

Cash Payout

Zeepay customers can use our payout network of allied partners, subsidiaries and affiliates made up of Bank Branches, Shell Stations, 3rd party agent networks to receive international remittances from abroad. The service is in partnership with Money Transfer Operators globally and available to all receivers and Zeepay Mobile Money Wallet holders.

Bank Termination

Zeepay bank Termination makes it possible for Money Transfer Operators and Subscribers to send money directly into bank accounts in key markets such as Ghana, South Africa, Europe and French West Africa.

To terminate on Zeepay Mobile Money Wallet;

dial *270# and select Instntmny,
then choose bank and complete the process.

VISA Direct Termination

VISA Prepaid and Debit card holders can receive their remittances directly onto their VISA cards within minutes. The service is available to both Money Transfer Operator companies globally, P2P transfers and payment service providers in both Ghana and Abroad. To use the service you would need to reach out to any of Zeepay Products team members for full on-boarding.

Register for Zeepay Mobile Money via USSD

Dial *270#
Select option 1. Register.
Select your ID type (Old Voters ID, Passport, Drivers’ License, SSNIT or New Voters ID).
Enter your ID number.
Confirm the name found on the ID card and enter your Date of Birth in the required format (DD-MM-YYYY).
Enter your Residential address without the GhanaPostGPS code.
Enter your GhanaPostGPS (optional). If you don’t have any, enter NA.
Enter “1” to confirm your account creation.
Upon successful completion, a confirmation message with your 6-digit PIN will be sent to your mobile number via SMS.

Register for Zeepay Mobile Money via MobileApp

Unlike the registration via USSD, this option is currently only available for Android users.

Download the Zeepay app from the Google Play Store.
After installation, open the app.
Select Add New Terminal.
Enter the required details and create your account.
Upon successful registration, a notification will be sent to you via SMS.

In 2021 Zeepay acquired 51% stake in Mangwee (a Zambian mobile money transfer platform aimed at increasing the rate of financial inclusion among rural areas and university students in Zambia whiles driving the cost of mobile money services downward) to give Zeepay access to Mozambique, Malawi, Angola and Namibia among others in an effort to capture Africa’s US$70billion remittance market, and an opportunity to deploy their products.
