App Passwords can only be used with accounts that have&nbsp;2-Step Verification&nbsp;turned on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help keep your account secure, use <strong>Sign in with Google<\/strong> <strong>(<\/strong>A Google sign in integration offered to developers to enable users of their platform sign-in with an existing Google Account<strong>)<\/strong> to connect apps to your Google Account. If the app you\u2019re using doesn\u2019t offer this option, you can either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Use App Passwords to connect to your Google Account<\/li><li>Switch to a more secure app<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong>&nbsp;If you use&nbsp;2-Step-Verification&nbsp;and are seeing a &#8220;password incorrect&#8221; error when trying to access your Google Account, an App Password may solve the problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To create App Passwords on Google, follow the steps below;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go to your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/myaccount.google.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" class=\"ek-link\">Google Account<\/a>.<\/li><li>On the left navigation panel, choose\u00a0<strong>Security<\/strong>.<\/li><li>On the &#8220;Signing in to Google&#8221; panel, choose\u00a0<strong>App Passwords<\/strong>. If you don\u2019t see this option:<ul><li>2-Step Verification is not set up for your account.<\/li><li>2-Step Verification is set up for security keys only.<\/li><li>Your account is through work, school, or other organization.<\/li><li>You\u2019ve turned on Advanced Protection for your account.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>At the bottom, choose\u00a0<strong>Select app\u00a0<\/strong>and choose the app you\u2019re using.<\/li><li>Choose\u00a0<strong>Select device<\/strong>\u00a0and choose the device you\u2019re using.<\/li><li>Choose\u00a0<strong>Generate<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Follow the instructions to enter the App Password.
