Two-factor authentication  settings can usually be enabled under your account\u2019s security and login  settings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may find settings with names like \u201cAdditional  Verification\u201d or \u201cLogin Verification\u201d or \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/gtechbooster.com\/i\/authentication\">2FA<\/a>\u201d (two-factor authentication) but know that these are all talking about the same thing: Two-factor!.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this post I\u2019ll walk you through a step-by-step guide in setting up Duo Mobile and enable 2FA for Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and all of your social media accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Set-Up Duo 2FA With Your Instagram Account<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s first take a look at how to protect your Instagram account using Duo Mobile. First,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/duo.com\/product\/trusted-users\/two-factor-authentication\/duo-mobile\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>download Duo Mobile from the app store<\/strong><\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Launch the Instagram app on your phone and go to your profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Open the Menu at the top right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tap \u201cSettings\u201d (at the bottom of the menu)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tap \u201cSecurity\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tap \u201cTwo-Factor Authentication\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 6<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Tap \u201cGet Started\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 7<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Toggle on the \u201cAuthentication App\u201d setting<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 8<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You\u2019ll be prompted to use Duo Mobile &#8211; Tap Next.<\/li><li>If you don\u2019t have Duo Mobile installed, it\u2019s important to download it from the app store before this step!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 9<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After tapping the button, you\u2019ll be redirected into Duo Mobile where you\u2019ll see a new account has been added<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 10<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We need to verify things were set up correctly. <\/li><li>First, tap the passcode to copy the 6 digits. <\/li><li>Then, switch back to Instagram.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 11<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Back in the Instagram App, tap \u201cNext\u201d<\/li><li>Paste the 6 digit code into the 6 boxes. <\/li><li>iPhone Tip: Tap over the first empty line for the \u201cPaste\u201d prompt.<\/li><li>Tap \u201cNext\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 12<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Two-Factor is now set up. Hit \u201cNext\u201d ( You will see recovery codes. It\u2019s important to save these recovery codes for when you need them. )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duo Mobile makes it easy to restore your third-party personal accounts with Duo Restore. Or on the next screen you\u2019ll see recovery codes.
