Susan Prescott, the company\u2019s vice president of global developer relations, commented on the matter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\" style=\"border-width:3px;border-radius:5px\"><blockquote><p>At Apple, we\u2019re committed to supporting and nurturing the next generation of developers. Susan Prescott, the Vice president of global developer relations for Apple<\/p><cite>Susan Prescott, the Vice president of global developer relations for Apple<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Details<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-palette-color-5-background-color has-background\">\n<li><strong>Application Period<\/strong>: Applications for the Swift Student Challenge will open in <strong>February 2025<\/strong> and will remain open for <strong>three weeks<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Event Participation<\/strong>: Selected winners will have the opportunity to attend a special three-day event at Apple\u2019s headquarters in Cupertino, where they can gain insights and recognition for their achievements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Community Engagement<\/strong>: The challenge aims to connect students with a global community of developers, encouraging them to tackle real-world issues through their projects.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, 350 projects that show \u201cexcellence in innovation, creativity, social impact, or inclusion\u201d will be awarded. In addition, the 50 winners who achieve the most prominence will be able to receive additional recognition, even to the point of being invited to visit Apple\u2019s headquarters, located in Cupertino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;2024 edition took place in February this year&nbsp;and followed the same characteristics, awarding 350 selected projects. In this case, the detail about the 50 winners came from a category implemented in this edition, called \u201cDistinguished Winners\u201d. To participate, you must be 13 years or older in the U.S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not only that, but Apple took the opportunity to announce the update of&nbsp;<em>Swift Coding Club<\/em>&nbsp;features&nbsp;to help candidates prepare for the challenge.
