MTN <\/a>and Ericsson through Hackerearth is inviting developers and entrepreneurs across Africa to participate in a MoMo API Hackathon and win exciting prizes \ud83c\udfc6 . The Hackathon which is in partnership with Ericsson will give App developers based in \ud83c\uddec\ud83c\uddedGhana, \ud83c\uddfa\ud83c\uddecUganda, \ud83c\udde8\ud83c\uddeeCote d\u2019Ivoire, \ud83c\udde8\ud83c\uddf2Cameroon, and \ud83c\uddff\ud83c\uddf2Zambia the opportunity to come up with innovative fintech applications using the MTN mobile money (MoMo) API platform. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The HACKATHON Phase <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The HACKATHON Phase takes place online from, 12:01 AM UTC on the 10th of October, 2019<\/strong> through to 11:59 PM UTC on the 22nd December, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MTN is an emerging market mobile operator at the forefront of technological and digital changes. MTN is also a leading Fintech operator and MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) is available in 14 markets across Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The range of solutions to close the financial services gap in the markets in which MTN operates requires partnerships with financial services providers, regulatory authorities, other mobile network operators, merchants, distributors, businesses, technology providers, entrepreneurs, and developers. It is through working with its partners that MTN is improving the economic and social well-being of millions of Africans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MTN Group has made it’s Mobile Money platform available across its footprint through the MoMo API program. MTN is now seeking businesses, entrepreneurs and developers across the continent to innovate around and leverage Mobile Money to accelerate financial inclusion and payment digitization. MTN is excited to invite developers and entrepreneurs across 5 countries to participate in the MoMo API Hackathon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
