Google decided to roll out a makeover sometime last year which saw to a much sleeker ui and faster interactivity with the web interface along with the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of September, 2018, the new Gmail on the web is now available for all users. Google announced<\/a> a handful of new Gmail features on the web related to the compose window and a new download option for messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Gmail compose window \u2014 and its full-screen version \u2014 is adding\ntwo new shortcuts to the floating Formatting options bar. At the very\nleft, users can now click undo\/redo instead of relying on keyboard\ncommands. Strikethrough is now also available on the other side of the\nstrip after user feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Undo\/Redo<\/strong>: If you need to undo an\naction, like if you accidentally delete the content of your draft of an\nemail, you can do so straight from the compose view. Anytime you have\nundo, you want to also have the option of redo, so we\u2019ve added that as\nwell.<\/p>

Strikethrough<\/strong>: Strikethrough is a visual cue that\nsomething has been completed or can be used as an edit suggestion. We\u2019ve\n heard from you that this functionality is critical to quickly and\nefficiently write emails, especially when you want to visually indicate a\n change in language.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Also, an email can now be downloaded as an .EML<\/strong> file in rfc822 format. This includes the email\u2019s contents, as well as any other attachments with the format recognized by other clients. This \u201cDownload message\u201d option is available on the web in the overflow menu. Additionally, .EML files can be sent as email attachments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a matter of weeks, these features will be available on the web in the coming weeks for all users by default.<\/p>\n
