At an event in Rwanda, she got to learn more about <strong>Eyram Tawia\u2019s<\/strong> projects creating and launching superheroes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She had a number of discussions with Eyram\u2019s Leti Arts stable and that has given birth to the <strong>Karmzah<\/strong> comic. Farida\u2019s friend, <strong>Anita Erskine<\/strong>, has been celebrated for her media work and many talents in Ghana and beyond. But who knew she was a singer? The comic portrays a person \u2013 <strong>Morowa<\/strong> \u2013 with cerebral palsy as a heroine. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Morowa<\/strong>, is an a archaeologist who goes on digs with her crutches and all, which shows even without superpowers, she is breaking the stereotypical image of someone with cerebral palsy. <strong>Farida Bedwei <\/strong>on her motivation for writing the Karmzah Comic said: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201c<em>Although there are a few superheroes with varying disabilities, there is none with Cerebral Palsy which is the commonest cause of childhood disability; the millions of children and adults with this condition should be represented in the animation\/comic realm<\/em>\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eyram Tawia<\/strong> stated <strong>Leti Arts\u2019<\/strong> values while sharing about the newest superhero in the <strong>Africa Legends\u2019 <\/strong>Series: \u201cKarmzah is a symbol of inclusion, challenging stereotypes and making aids look very normal and cool. Our world thus Africa needs superheroes who use super powers to fix situations we face now giving hope for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is great example of working together, balancing skill sets with each person focusing on their strengths\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Karmzah comic is exclusive to <strong><u><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.letiarts.afrocomix&amp;hl=en_US\" target=\"_blank\">AfroComix<\/a><\/u><\/strong>, a Leti Arts managed platform that hosts lots of digital content about African culture, comics, animations, games, etc by African content creators. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AfroComix is available on the Google Play Store with versions for other operating systems following.
