However, if you prefer to have a local account for your Windows 10 Home installation, you can follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Out-of-box experience (OOBE) setup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you can\u2019t find the option to add a local account during the Windows 10 Home setup process, it\u2019s because Microsoft has removed this option from the out-of-box experience (OOBE) setup. To create a local account on Windows 10 Home during the initial OS installation, you can follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"has-palette-color-5-background-color has-background wp-block-list\">\n<li>Turn on your new device to begin the preinstalled Windows 10 Home set-up process .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When you reach the \u201cSign in with Microsoft\u201d screen, you will see an option to create a Microsoft account. Either sign in or create a new Microsoft account to continue.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete the rest of the Windows 10 Home installation process by following the on-screen instructions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upon successfully installation, got Control Panel, then Users to create a local account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the Control Panel by searching for it in the Start menu or right-clicking the Start button and selecting &#8220;Control Panel.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Control Panel, change the &#8220;View by&#8221; option to &#8220;Large icons&#8221; or &#8220;Small icons&#8221; to see all the available options.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on the &#8220;User Accounts&#8221; or &#8220;User Accounts and Family Safety&#8221; option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the User Accounts window, click on the &#8220;Manage another account&#8221; option.
