Following the schedule of updates of its beta channel, Apple released yesterday new beta versions of operating systems iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16, proprietary interface of the company that should have the stable version available in the last quarter of this year at the launch event of the iPhone 14 Series line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Wednesday (6th), the developer released the third beta version for developers, including general improvements in software performance and the security tool “Lockdown Mode”, which arrives as an extra layer of security against spyware improving the privacy of users of the brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As in other public betas, to try the news in advance you must be enrolled in the “Apple Beta Software Program” and have a device compatible with the released version. It is worth noting that beta systems have not been completed and may have bugs, crashes, and incompatibility with apps during use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For<\/strong>\u00a0now there are no reports of problems with the public beta update on this channel, however, previously users recorded difficulty in accessing the main banking applications installed on the device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the update found in beta 3 of iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS 13 Ventura\u00a0is “Lockdown Mode”, an extremely rigid spyware protection feature<\/strong>. Apple explains that this mode is optional and should be used only if the user believes they may be the target of a personal and highly sophisticated cyberattack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When your iPhone is in Lockdown Mode, it won’t work as usual,” says the tool’s first message. Applications, websites, and system resources are “strictly limited” for security, and some functions of your phone, tablet, or computer may become completely unavailable.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

For now, there’s no detailed news for watchOS 9 and tvOS 16, but we know that the new version of\u00a0the Apple Watch operating system will add VoIP\u00a0to WhatsApp, Telegram and other third-party apps. Apple TV, in turn, will finally add support for hdr10+ in-app and compatibility to the\u00a0Nintendo Switch controller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The beta is only available to developers registered with apple developer center, but it shouldn’t be long before big tech makes the platform’s public betas available, allowing all users to experience features like\u00a0the new iOS 16 Lock\u00a0Screen and\u00a0improvements to iPadOS 16 multitasking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple announced new versions of its operating systems at WWDC22 on June 6\u00a0and now beta 2 of iOS 16, iPadOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, tvOS 16 and watchOS 9 has just arrived with fixes and new features so developers can implement improvements to their apps and experience the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new version brings important fixes to all systems, but they are still riddled with bugs that compromise their use, so we don’t recommend that you use them on your core devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Either way, if you want to install iOS 16, iPadOS 16, or any other beta 2 system released today, you must be registered with Apple Developer Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
