Yea, Saya had the tagline; Sms is old skool&#8230; Saya is the new kool. The acquisition was described by Kirusa&#8217;s representative that it enhances Kirusa\u2019s expertise and the reach of its InstaVoice mobile app across the African continent. As per the deal, Kirusa has acquired the technology, intellectual property, and workforce of Saya, which will now be working on Kirusa\u2019s mobile applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cAfrica remains a top priority for our business,\u201d says Inderpal Singh Mumick, CEO of Kirusa. \u201cWhile there has been astonishing progress of the mobile industry, the biggest impact of mobile in Africa is yet to come. We believe there are advantages to building products specifically for this region and have made the strategic decision to acquire Saya in line with that thinking. Users were able to join chat rooms via Facebook and the experience was smooth as compared to eBuddy instant messenger more so on JSME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIn launching Saya, we wanted to create a world class product but that was made by Africans, for Africans,\u201d says Robert Lamptey, CEO of Saya. \u201cJoining forces with Kirusa is a natural and exciting next step for our team.
